Susan Franklin - Psychotherapy Therapist

Susan originally trained with the College of Holistic Medicine (based in Glasgow) in 1995, where she obtained an advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. Later she received a first class honours with UCC in Integrative Psychotherapy.

Susan has also trained as a Family Communications Tutor and has facilitated dozens of courses on parenting, assertiveness and personal development in the West Cork community. She has a Diploma in Therapeutic Massage and is qualified in Reiki and IET. In her work she pulls from all of the above disciplines and  trainings.

For the last 7 years she has co-ordinated the Youth Counselling Service in the YMCA in Cork city and consequently has lots of experience dealing with teenagers and young people. She has also had a small private practice for the last ten years where she sees both adults and young people.

Issues dealt with include depression, panic attacks, anxiety, eating disorders, self-harming, parasuicide, trauma, abuse, anger and stress management etc.
