Karen began to cook when she started to travel, kitchens having a universal language. She settled at Lettercollum House, Timoleague West Cork where with her partner Con McLoughlin she established a restaurant and guesthouse.

I began to cook when I started to travel, kitchens having a universal language, before I settled at Lettercollum House, Timoleague West Cork where we set up a restaurant and guesthouse.

Over the years I have been involved with growing vegetables organically, cooking in our restaurant and giving cooking lessons.

In 2003 we sold Lettercollum House an have since run a food and wine shop in Clonakilty, where we have an in store kitchen using the produce of our organic walled garden,  I also give cooking courses in Ireland, France and Spain with my partner, Con McLoughlin.

The classes that I give are focused on fresh local ingredients and the foods of the world.  Most of the classes are vegetarian with the occasional seafood.  My aim is to inspire and give the knowledge so that you can go home and recreate the dishes demonstrated.

The classes I have planned for Fionnuisce over the coming months are soon to be announced.


Classes cost 75euro including recipes, tastings and lunch
